History of “Connections”

Many Sun City West residents have never heard of us! Do they know about Welcome Wagon? That was the name of our group in the very beginning back in 1985. In 2000 we decided to change our name to Connections because the name “Welcome Wagon” implied a group only for those new to the community.

We are an activity rich group open to all women residing within the historical boundaries of Sun City West who would like ‘to promote friendship and to support civic and charitable causes within our community’. (That is our mission statement.)

When you tell your neighbors and friends about us, mention we were Welcome Wagon but now welcome all women regardless if they are new to the community or have been long time residents.
